About me
I trained in Sports Massage Therapy with Active Health Group in Manchester (ITEC Levels 3 and 4). This training has given me the skills to work deeper and in a more targeted way with the human body's soft tissue.
My formal training began at the Yorkshire School of Complementary Therapy, Harrogate, where I studied Massage and Anatomy & Physiology (ITEC Level 3) with Sylvia Brearley. This training emphasised the importance of treating the whole person – physical and emotional - and the wider beneficial effects of massage on a person’s wellbeing.
For me, formal training with Sylvia at the Yorkshire School was a natural progression from years of informal training and practice with family and friends, and a lifelong interest in the human body and its musculature.
I'm a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
