FAQs
What happens once I’ve booked a session?
1
Once you’ve booked a treatment you’ll receive an email confirmation of your booking, which includes a link at the bottom to a consultation form for you to complete ahead of the session.
Why haven’t I got a confirmation message for my booking?
2
If you haven’t received an email confirmation after booking a session, please check your Junk or Spam email folder: the email is sent by my booking system using email address notifications@cliniko.com and some email systems assume that it’s spam.
If there’s nothing in your Junk or Spam email folder then the next most common reason not to have got a confirmation email is because your email address is incorrect on your booking. Please drop me a message with your email address in it and I’ll check what’s been entered on your booking and correct it if necessary.
If your email is correct on the booking system I’ll send you an email confirmation manually so that you receive all the necessary information and link to the consultation form to complete ahead of your session. Then I’ll scratch my head and try to work out what on earth I’ve done to the system.
What happens in a typical treatment session?
3
We’ll go into the treatment room and have a brief chat about what you’ve put on the consultation form
We’ll agree what we are going to do in the session and then I’ll leave you in the treatment room for a few minutes to give you time to remove the appropriate clothing and to make yourself comfortable on the massage couch. The clothing you need to remove will vary depending on the treatment you are having and what you are comfortable with.
You will never be asked to remove your underwear.
We will then proceed with your treatment. You will be draped with towels throughout your treatment, and I will only uncover the part of the body that I am working on, covering it again before I move on to massage another area.
What’s the difference between a relaxing holistic massage session and a pregnancy massage?
4
In a pregnancy massage the power of touch is used to support your physical and emotional wellbeing, just as it is in a relaxing holistic massage. Massage in pregnancy uses a slightly different range of techniques, and you’ll be lying on your side (rather than on your front or back) for the treatment, just to make sure that everything is comfortable for you and your baby.
During a reiki session you lie fully clothed on the massage couch. I channel reiki energy to you by putting my hands gently in a number of (non-invasive) positions on or above your body for a few minutes at a time.

What payment methods do you accept?
6
Payment is usually made using a bank card when you book using my online booking system. Please contact me if you'd prefer to pay by cash or bank transfer. I take payment ahead of your treatment.
How can I get an invoice for my treatment payment?
7
When you book, my booking system automatically generates an invoice showing payment received and emails this over to you. If you’re paying by bank transfer or cash and you’d like an invoice then please let me know and I’ll get one sent over.
What are you doing to make sure my data is safe?
8
Please have a look at my Privacy statement. This explains how I'm looking after your personal data.
I have animal hair and dust allergies, do you have any pets?
9
I have a cockapoo dog called Benji. Cockapoos don't shed much but they do still shed. Also, there will be more dust in the house due to the dog. Please be assured that Benji is shut away in either the kitchen or a bedroom whilst I’m working. With treats. Not that he’s spoilt or anything. (#BenjiLivingTheLifeOfRiley #LittlePrince)
